Heldrich Center’s New Start Career Network Marks Second Anniversary

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

The New Start Career Network (NSCN), housed at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development, is a program to help New Jersey residents age 45 and older who have been out of work or underemployed for at least six months find employment. Launched in October 2015, NSCN provides its members with a variety of free-of-charge services, with assistance from 250 volunteer career coaches. NSCN currently serves over 2,900 members.

NSCN services include access to the members-only area of the NSCN website where members can take advantage of an array of information and advice about careers, the labor market, job opportunities, educational and training options, and career tools. NSCN also provides its members with career coaching; weekly tips about upcoming events and webinars, job search advice, and job opportunities; biannual job fairs; and interactive webinars about job search techniques, strategies to stay positive while looking for work, and a wide range of other topics.
